√ Was there ever a day in world history, when 1,00,00,000 people instantly moved from a taxable category to zero-tax category with a fifteen seconds announcement in Parliament???

√ In the US, if you are single & earn less than $12,950, you pay zero income tax!
√ In India, from now on, $14,826 will be the zero tax threshold!!!
√ The US per capita income is $70,539;
India's only $2,139!
√ India has a higher zero tax bracket than in the US, in spite of being 33 times poorer!! Unbelievable.!!!
√ Twenty years ago, the entire budget size of the Government of India under Dr. Manmohan Singh was ₹5,14,000 crore!
and then defence Minister Mr. A.K. Antony said that India does not have money to upgrade our defence capabilities. ( But had the money to buy a painting for Rs. 28 crore painted by his wife, the only one she had painted in her entire life.)
√ Today, only the Defence budget under Narendra Modi ji govt is ₹6,81,000 crore!!! India has come a long way, and this is great news for the soldiers guarding us the borders!
Certainly merits appreciation in my opinion!!
Still the non IT paying people will still criticize and lament the Budget proposals.
