Tech Stocks Rally, Industrials Slump on Earnings: Markets Wrap


Major U.S. stock gauges closed mixed as earnings reports sparked a rally in big technology companies and sent industrial shares lower. The dollar extended gains to a four-month high.

While the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 reached a record following strong results from Microsoft and Facebook, the broader S&P 500 Index ended little changed after 3M cut its earnings forecast and UPS reported a profit drop. The Stoxx Europe 600 slipped as two major European mergers appeared to founder. Treasuries dipped after solid U.S. durable-goods data.

Investors are looking to company earnings to breathe new life into the global rally that lifted the U.S. benchmark to a record high this week and helped bring the longest run of gains in more than a year for European stocks. Mostly positive results so far this earnings season have gone some way toward mitigating concerns over the global economy, and U.S. first-quarter gross domestic product data due Friday should offer more guidance.

“We’re in an obviously relatively slower growth economic environment and earnings expectations have drifted lower,” said Ryan Primmer, head of investment solutions at UBS Asset Management. “I would call it a good-enough earnings season for the market to be rewarded for where it’s at today.”

In corporate news, merger talks ended between German lenders Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank, while U.K. grocer Sainsbury’s plan to take over Walmart’s Asda was blocked by antitrust authorities.

Argentina’s currency dropped to a record low after suffering a deep sell-off Wednesday. The euro traded at the lowest since 2017. Sweden’s krona dropped as the Riksbank said rates will stay low for longer. Turkey’s lira tumbled to its weakest since October after the central bank dropped a commitment to tighten policy if needed.

Elsewhere, South Korea’s won slumped after the country’s economy unexpectedly contracted in the first quarter. Asian shares were mostly lower, with sharp declines in China. Brent crude touched $75 for the first time since October. Emerging-market currencies and shares fell.

Stocks

The S&P 500 Index was little changed at the close of trading in New York.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index declined 0.2 percent.

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index fell 0.3 percent.

The MSCI Emerging Market Index decreased 0.7 percent.

Currencies

The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index rose 0.1 percent.

The euro dipped 0.2 percent to $1.1132.

The Japanese yen gained 0.5 percent to 111.67 per dollar.

The MSCI Emerging Markets Currency Index sank 0.3 percent.

Bonds

The yield on 10-year Treasuries rose one basis point to 2.53 percent.

Germany’s 10-year yield was little changed at -0.01 percent.

Britain’s 10-year yield dipped two basis points to 1.15 percent.

Commodities

The Bloomberg Commodity Index slipped 0.3 percent.

West Texas Intermediate crude fell 1.4 percent to $65 a barrel.

Copper fell 1.7 percent to $2.868 a pound.

Gold rose 0.2 percent to $1,277.66 an ounce.

A man who has gone out of his town comes back and finds that his house is on fire.

It was one of the most beautiful houses in the town, and the man loved the house the most!

Many people were ready to give double price for the house, but he had never agreed for any price and now it is just burning before his eyes.
And thousands of people have gathered, but nothing can be done, the fire has spread so far that even if you try to put it out, nothing will be saved.

So he becomes very sad.

His son comes running and whispers something in his ear:
"Don't be worried. I sold it yesterday and at a very good price ― three times.The offer was so good I could not wait for you. Forgive me."

Father said, "Thank God, it's not ours now!"
Then the father is relaxed and became a silent watcher, just like 1000s of other watchers.

Please think about it!
Just a moment before he was not a watcher, he was attached. It is the same house....the same fire.... everything is the same...but now he is not concerned.

In fact started enjoying it just as everybody else in the crowd.

Then the second son comes running, and he says to the father, "What are you doing? You are smiling ― and the house is on fire?" The father said, "Don't you know, your brother has sold it."
He said, "we have taken only advance amount, not settled fully.
I doubt now that the man is going to purchase it now."
Again, everything changes!!

Tears which had disappeared, have come back to the father's eyes, his smile is no more there, his heart is beating fast.
The 'watcher' is gone.
He is again attached.

And then the third son comes, and he says, "That man is a man of his word. I have just come from him. He said, *'It doesn't matter whether the house is burnt or not, it is mine.
And I am going to pay the price that I have settled for.

Neither you knew, nor I knew that the house would catch on fire.'"

Again the joy is back and family became 'watchers'!
The attachment is no more there.

Actually nothing is changing!

just the feeling that
"I am the owner!
I am not the owner of the house!" makes the whole difference.

This simple methodology of watching the mind, that you have nothing to do with it..

Everything starts with a Thought !

the movies,
the television,
the newspapers.
Just count how many thoughts are your own, and you will be surprised that not a single thought is your own.

Amnesty scheme 2019. Forms of Adjudication started 1st week March 2019. Scheme valid 6 months till 30th August, 2019. Those who want to clear their stamp duty and penalty part on any old documents can take benefit of this scheme. Especially who are going for Redevelopment or Deemed Conveyances.

Scheme is available only for Residential properties.

Presently penalty is maximum 400% on the deficit amount and now under amnesty it would be only 10% of deficit.

Extending their gaining streak for second straight session, Indian equity benchmarks ended on an optimistic note, with Nifty settling above crucial 11,600 mark, while Senesx ended just shy of 38,750 mark. Key indices made positive start, as traders took support with report that the RBI has injected a total liquidity of `.2.98 lakh crore in the market in 2018-19. However, markets erased initial gains to turn negative in the afternoon deals as investors awaited cues from release of key macroeconomic data and quarterly results of IT majors TCS and Infosys. But, selling proved short-lived as markets bounced back in late afternoon trade, due to buying witnessed in FMCG, Utilities and Power stocks.

બાળકો પણ ઉકેલીને ચોરી કરવા જતા હોય છે. જેમ કે આજે માલ મળશે કે નહીં મળે કે ધોલધપાટનો માર મળશે કે નહીં તેની આગોતરી જાણ વડના વૃક્ષમાંથી બનાવેલ વિશિષ્ટ ઔષધિ દ્વારા થઈ જતી હોય છે. ચોરોના સરદારે એક વખત એક સંતપુરુષ પાસે આ કબૂલાત કરી હતી કે વૈશાખ સુદ 3 ને દિવસે અમે ગાઢ જંગલમાં વડના વૃક્ષ ઉપર એક માટલું બાંધતા હોઈએ છીએ અને બરાબર એની નીચે જમીન ઉપર એક અડધું તૂટેલું માટલું મુકતા હોઈએ છીએ. ઉપરના માટલામાં એક નાનકડું છીદ્ર પાડવા દ્વારા ધીમે ધીમે નીચેના માટલામાં પાણી ટપક ટપક પડતું હોય છે. ગાઢ જંગલમાં અનેક પશુ પંખીઓ આ પાણીને બોટે છે. વડના વૃક્ષમાંથી પડતી ઝાંકળ કે વરસાદ આદિનું પાણી પણ આ નીચેના માટલામાં પડે છે અને સિંહ, વાઘ, વરુ સહિત સાપ, ચકલી કે કબૂતર પણ આ પાણી પીવા માટે આવે છે. બરાબર એક વર્ષ પછી અમારા નસીબ બળીયા હોય તો હિંસક પશુઓથી બચતા બચતા અમે ગાઢ જંગલમાં એ માટલા પાસે જઈને જો એમાં કોઈ પાણી બચ્યું હોય તે લેતા આવીએ છીએ અને અને અમારા ઘરમાં જ્યારે બાળકનો જન્મ થાય ત્યારે ગળથુંથીમાં આ પાણી પીવડાવીએ છીએ જેથી તે બાળકને સહજ પશુ-પંખીની આ સાંકેતિક ભાષા આવડી જાય છે. અક્ષય તૃતિયા અને વડના વૃક્ષની આવી જુગલબંધી અલૌકિક છે.

ગુડી પડવાને દિવસે લીમડાના પંચાંગને આરોગવાથી આરોગ્યમાં અનેરો ફાયદો

ગુડી પડવા એટલે કે ચૈત્ર સુદ 1 આ વર્ષે 6 એપ્રીલ, 2019 શનિવારના રોજ નયણા કોઠે લીમડાના પંચાંગના સેવનથી આરોગ્યમાં અનેરો ફાયદો થતો હોય છે. જેમ કે હેમંત, શીશીર, વસંત, ગ્રીષ્મ, વર્ષા અને શરદ ઋતુ વખતે સૃષ્ટિમાં અનેક ફેરફારો આવતા હોય છે અને આપણે જેમ એસી રૂમમાંથી બહાર નીકળીએ અને બહારનું વાતાવરણ બદલાઈ જતું હોય છે તે પ્રમાણે કેટલાક ઋતુ પરિવર્તનમાં અને નક્ષત્રના સંધીકાળે આપણા વડવાઓએ અગમચેતી વાપરીને કફ, પિત્ત અને વાતની વિકૃત અવસ્થાને સમ કરવા માટે અલગ અલગ ઔષધિ પ્રયોગો આપેલા છે. કેટલાક લોકો ચૈત્ર મહિનાના 15 દિવસ સુધી લેતા હોય છે, કેટલાક 1, 3, 5 એમ એકી સંખ્યામાં લેતા હોય છે પરંતુ હર્ડીકર દાદા કહેતા હતા કે એક જ દિવસ આ ઔષધ લેવું. કેમ કે વધારે પડતી કડવાશ લેવાથી નપુંસકતાનો ભય ઊભો થતો હોય છે.

મૂળ મરાઠા ઘરાણાના વિશુદ્ધ બ્રાહ્મણ વિદ્વાન વૈદ્યરાજ શ્રી ભાષ્કરભાઈ હર્ડીકરજી કાયમ કહેતા કે, પડવે ને દિવસે લીમડાનું પંચાંગ લેવું જોઈએ. જેમાં લીમડાના પાંચ અંગો એટલે કે મૂળ, છાલ, પત્ર, મોર અને લિંબોડી સમ ભાગે લઈને તેની અંદર થોડું સિંધવ અને મરી ભેળવીને સૂંઠનું પ્રક્ષેપણ કરવામાં આવે તો સમગ્ર વર્ષ દરમ્યાન અનેક પ્રકારના રોગોમાંથી મુક્તિ મળે છે. આ વૈદ્યરાજ એટલા કુશળ હતા કે દૂત બનીને તમારા સગા-સંબંધીની દવા લેવા જાવ તો તમારી તાડી જોઈને દર્દીની દવા આપી શકે એને દૂત નાડી કહેવાય છે. અંદર ભૂત નાડી બોલતી હોય તો તે પણ તેઓ કહી આપતા. આ વિજ્ઞાન તેઓએ પોતાના કેટલાક શિષ્યોને વારસામાં આપેલું છે.

જેઠ મહિનાના દર અઠવાડિયે એક વખત એમ કુલ 4 વખત એરંડભ્રષ્ટ હરીતકી લેવામાં આવે તો એટલે કે સારા વૈદ્યરાજ પાસે એરન્ડીયાના તેલમાં 7 વખત તળેલી હીમેજ લેવામાં આવે તો ઝીણો તાવ આવતો બંધ થઈ જાય છે.

આવી જ રીતે કેરીની સીઝન પછી આદ્રા નક્ષત્ર આવે ત્યારે એક્ઝેટ એ જ સમયે આમલીના કચુકાના વજન જેટલી દેશી શુદ્ધ હિંગ, દેશી ગાયનું ઘી, થોડાક સિંધવ સાથે ચાટવામાં આવે તો માત્ર ચોમાસાના 4 મહિના વાયુના રોગો થતા નથી. આ વર્ષે તે જેઠ વદ 5, શનિવાર અંગ્રેજી તા. 22-06-2019 સાંજે 5:20 કલાકે બેસે છે.

જૈનોમાં આદ્રા આવે પછી કેરીનો ત્યાગ થતો હોય છે કેમ કે તેમાં તે જ વર્ણના નરી આંખે ન દેખી શકાય તેવા અસંખ્ય જીવો ઉત્પન્ન થઈ જતા હોય છે. આદ્રા પછી કેરીનો સ્વાદ પણ બદલાઈ જતો હોય છે.

ઔષધિના મર્મગ્ન શ્રી જ્ઞાનમૂર્તિ સરસ્વતી કહેતા હતા કે જામફળના વૃક્ષના સાડા ત્રણ પાન વણબોલ્યા સામેવાળાને આપે અને તે ચાવી જાય તો દાંતના કોઈપણ રોગ રહેતા નથી. હર્ડીકર દાદા જણાવતા હતા કે ગર્ભવતી સ્ત્રીઓને વેણ ઉપડે ત્યારે દર્ભના ઘાંસનું મૂળ નાભીની નીચે સ્પર્શ કર્યા વગર એન્ટીક્લોકવાઈઝ એટલે કે અવળા અવર્તથી ફેરવવામાં આવે તો ઓપરેશન વગર સહેલાઈથી ડિલિવરી થઈ જતી હોય છે. અધેડાના વૃક્ષનું મૂળ પણ અંબોડામાં ખોસી દેવાથી નોર્મલ ડિલિવરી થાય છે. જો કે ડિલિવરી થયા બાદ તરત જ માથામાંથી તે મૂળ દૂર કરી દેવું જોઈએ. પોતાના જ વાળની લટ મધ્યમાં એટલે કે વચલી આંગળીમાં બાંધીને ઉપરના તાળવામાં ઘસવાથી પણ સીઝેરીયનના જોખમમાંથી બહાર આવી શકાય છે.

પારસ પીપળાના પાન ટૂંકા હોય છે. બીજો પીપળો ઉગાડી શકાય તેવો હોય છે. પરંતુ જે પીપળો પોતાની મેળે જ ઉગે છે તેના પાનની દાંડી લાંબી હોય છે અને તેની પૂછડી પણ લાંબી હોય છે. દાંડી અને પૂછડીની લંબાઈ લગભગ સરખી હોય છે તેવા પીપળાના લાંબા પાનવાળા વૃક્ષનું બે પાન તોડીને તેના દૂધના ટસીયા સાથે સાપ કરડનારના બંને કાન પાસે સ્પર્શ કરાવ્યા વગર રાખવાથી સાપનું ઝેર ઉતરી જતું હોય છે. પણ આ પ્રયોગ કરતી વખતે જેને સાપ કરડ્યો હોય તેના બંને હાથ-પગ મજબૂત માણસોએ પકડી રાખવા જરૂરી છે. કારણ એ સાપનું ઝેર ઉતરતી વખતે તેને સખત પીડા થશે તેથી તેની સ્થિર રાખવા પકડવાની જરૂર છે. જો ઝેરી સાપ ન કરડ્યો હોય અથવા ઝેર ન ચડ્યું હોય તો પીપળાના પાન આ રીતે રાખવાથી કોઈપણ પીડા થશે નહીં. પણ જો ઝેર ચડ્યું હશે તો જેમ જેમ ઝેર ઉતરતું જશે તેમ તેમ પીડા ઓછી થતી જશે અને છેલ્લે પીડા સંપૂર્ણ બંધ થઈ જશે. ત્યારે સમજવાનું કે ઝેર પુરેપૂરું ઉતરી ગયું. આ પ્રયોગ દરમિયાન પીપળાના પાનો ચીમળાઈ જાય અથવા કાળા પડી જાય એટલે તરત બદલીને પાન નવા લેવાના હોય છે. ગુજરાતના એક વિદ્વાન પ્રોફેસરે અનેક લોકોને આ પ્રયોગથી સાપનું ઝેર ઉતારેલું છે.

ઔષધિ ગ્રહણમાં પણ મૂળિયાઓ બધા મૂળ નક્ષત્રમાં, શાખા-પ્રશાખાઓ વિશાખા નક્ષત્રમાં અને પુષ્પો બધા પુષ્ય નક્ષત્રમાં વિધિપૂર્વક ગ્રહણ કરવામાં આવતા હોય છે. ગ્રહણ કરવાના પૂર્વ દિવસે તે વૃક્ષોને નોતરું કે આમંત્રણની વિનંતી કરતા કેટલાક વિશિષ્ટ અનુષ્ઠાનો કર્યા પછી જો ઔષધિ ગ્રહણ કરવામાં આવે તો ઔષધિની અનેકવિધ રીતે તાકાત વધતી હોય છે. એક વખત રાત્રે ઔષધિ ગ્રહણ વખતે ખીર મુકતા અને સતત ચોકીપેરો હોવા છતાં સવારે તેમાંનું સંપૂર્ણ દૂધ અદ્રશ્ય થયું હતું અને માત્ર ચોખા રહ્યા હતા.
