It’s never too late to chase a new dream. At 44, I decided to learn English. By 49, I had formed my own pantomime troupe. At 50, I finally joined a gym.
Then, at 57, I stepped onto the stage and invented a whole new art form: “living sculpture.” I didn’t focus on my physique until I was 70, and at 79, I climbed onto a podium for the very first time. Now, at 80, I still have PROJECTS on my plate—dreams I’m determined to pursue.
So, whenever you catch yourself saying, “It’s too late,” remember: that’s often just an excuse to stay comfortable and avoid taking charge of your life. Keep pushing forward, because your greatest achievements might be just around the corner.
— Wang Deshun, 88 years young.
