Morning Thoughts...

New Gen Tech :
How to Value - With majority of the new-age stocks still incurring losses, the traditional valuation comparisons aren’t possible and sales multiple has become the preferred multiple. It is important to note the characteristics of revenue for each individual company prior to using revenue multiple based comparisons as these companies belong to different industry verticals and have significantly different revenue recognition approaches. We suggest due consideration to be given to revenue characteristics – competitive moats, network effects, gross margin profile, growth rate, capex/WC requirements and recurring nature of business.

Avoiding big draw downs at all costs is important because
10% loss requires 11% gain
20% loss requires 25% gain
50% loss requires100% gain
90% loss requires 900% gain
to get back to break-even.
Managing the down side is as important as managing the upside.

Key Takeaways. Capitulation happens when a significant proportion of investors succumbs to fear and sells over a short period of time, causing the price of a security or a market to drop sharply amid high trading volume. Capitulation marks a short-term low in the price and is followed by at least a relief rally. this is what we see in market today. probably the last leg (not the last day ) of profit booking. #alliesfin #stockmarkets #investing

Also be mindful of rising US yeilds and crude prices before making any major commitments on either side. Continue to hold protection against long positions till end of central banks' meetings for sudden reversal, if any, on aggressive move by Central banks.
